Our story begins at Utah State University when Kristie went to go play tennis with her roommate. On the way to the tennis courts, they stopped to borrow some tennis balls. That is where Kristie's roommate met Brett, the tall blue eye boy dribbling a basketball in the hall. Her roommate came back to the car and said “Kristie I just met the man you are going to marry.” Kristie laughed and didn’t think anything of it until a while later when that persistent roommate made sure we went on a date. Both of us were busy with school, but we made time and had a blast dating. We quickly realized that we had lots in common and enjoyed being together. Slowly we started falling in love! We were married 18 months later.

We have now been married for eight years. We're committed to each other and plan to stay together forever! We're unable to have biological children, but we're so grateful that through the gift of adoption we are able to be parents. We were blessed to adopt Carson two years ago. Adding Carson to our family has enriched our lives and being parents has made us a stronger couple. Carson's birth parents chose to have a semi-open adoption, but we're also open to having an open adoption. We love Carson so much and are excited to see him be a big brother. We feel that having Carson grow up with siblings is one of the greatest gifts we can give him. We are grateful for the gift of adoption and are excited to start this journey again!
